Project Description

Great Desert Landscaping: Phoenix

Flowers are wonderful for landscaping, Phoenix, but no plant remains in bloom all year. However, you can still have lots of color in in your yard simply by good selection and placement of the plants in your landscape design. This project is a great example of just how beautiful desert landscaping can be with little to no flowering action.

It isn’t that there are no plants that bloom in this particular Phoenix landscape design, but not when we shot this photo. Still, there is lots of interest and good color flow from the curb to where the front walk enters the courtyard. Behind the wall, however, hidden from the street, plants are blooming. But the public part of the front yard looks very natural. The closer you get to the front door, though, the more garden-like the landscaping. Phoenix homeowners do like to highlight this particular area.

Here’s a peek behind the courtyard wall:

Currently, this landscaping Phoenix client's seasonal color comes from several Texas Sage plants. A lovely foil for the Gold Barrel Cacti and walk coloring.

The aloe, yucca, grasses and cacti give the homeowner exactly what everyone wishes for…

Low-maintenance, high curb appeal landscaping, Phoenix.

Granted some people like things more tightly planted, and others prefer more of a lush look. Different plants for different tastes and spaces; it’s part of what makes your front yard stand apart from your neighbors’. Whatever your idea of the perfect landscaping is, we’d love to discuss the possibilities with you.
