Both builders and homeowners call on us from time to time for Scottsdale pool finishing, because most pool builders only install the swimming pool itself. Here’s a recently completed project where Desert Crest came in behind the pool contractor, and finished the job.
Both pool deck and patio are done in pale, heat-reflecting travertine pavers laid in the Versailles pattern that makes use of all the sizes this gorgeous natural stone material comes in. Versailles gives your paving a cleaner look that is less repetitive, and with less lines than other laying patterns allow. The same stone is used for the spa coping and pillar caps. There is just enough muted color in this travertine selection to pick up the browns of the facing stone used on the other pool features, drawing the opposites into a striking partnership.
Autumn Blend stone is perfectly suited for connecting your landscaping to the open desert by echoing the natural palette. It was used to face the sides of the spa surround, and other raised pool elements. The three central pillars behind the pool sport channel fountains, while the flanking pillars have gas-burning fire pots on top. The homeowner chose to have matching containers planted with cactus gardens topping off the fountain pillars, giving continuity to the overall finished look.
The smooth travertine against rough stone makes beautiful textural contrast, while playing light against dark color values creates outstanding visual appeal in contemporary outdoor living spaces.
