Entertainment Wall Outdoor Fireplace: Peoria, AZ
More Perks than Water Walls
This recently completed outdoor fireplace Peoria, AZ clients had us build offers a lot more than dancing flames, yet takes up very little floor space on this small covered patio. Space-challenged outdoor living loaded with benefits.
When your backyard is basically the porch, fitting all the important things into your landscape design may seem impossible. But you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how little premium living space you actually lose. The split-face travertine outdoor fireplace on this project is a perfect example of making every square inch count. The unit is long, but sits along the back edge of the patio. And because the main level is four-feet tall, it acts as a privacy screen without blocking out natural light or air flow. A definite plus for anyone living in a condo complex or development where private property doesn’t extend very far from your house’s footprint.
Setting a wood mantle into the Ivory Beige travertine adds a warm accent to all the stone work. By using stone tiles to create the water walls’ cascade surfaces, the outdoor fireplace maintains a natural personality with added interest. The colors blend beautifully but break up the brick lines. The cascade walls are slanted for good water feature action without splashing. And the collection basins are small, translating to very little water waste.
The empty cabinet above the firebox isn’t for wood storage. It’s wired and ready for the client’s new outdoor TV. A temporary filler of silk flowers and pottery makes their new outdoor entertainment wall look more finished and welcoming until the TV arrives.
Here’s a video to show you what the cascading water walls are like when running…
